The Area: Radiant Barrier Products

The Role: National Sales Manager

As a National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a sales team responsible for selling low emissivity films and fabrics into various markets that include residential and commercial building and construction, multi-functional window coverings, and consumer products. You will work with a cross functional team including executive leadership, product development, and business development personnel to grow our business. You will develop knowledge of account representatives performance, effectiveness, and proficiency through ongoing direct and indirect coaching methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct selling of radiant barrier products in North America.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities and driving business growth through creating contacts and market need definition.
  • Engage directly with customers on both technical and non-technical levels to ensure superior service as well as interact directly with key support and product personnel to resolve issues.
  • Build relationships with external parties including distributors, suppliers, customers and industry associations.
  • Work closely with other market segments across the country to develop synergies for growth.
  • Engage with team members to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Monitor key metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally and with executive management, and product development personnel, to ensure continued growth of the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree desired, 2+ years sales, marketing, or technical experience in specialty films/fabrics and/or building materials a plus. Engineering background preferred
  • Superior time management skills and ability to excel in a self-directed work environment.
  • Negotiates skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups
  • Strong understanding of the sales process through distribution into the construction industry (and first tier suppliers to the construction industry) including; customer decision process, understanding and knowledge.
  • Simultaneously manages multiple accounts at different stages of the sales pipeline.
  • Able to advance accounts through the sales pipeline.
  • Understands how to develop the business and value proposition and applies this knowledge with the right person at the right time.
  • Proven record of sales management success. Must show consistent performance above quota.
  • Excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Strong knowledge of functional films and fabrics used in construction and building products applications.
  • Travel 50% to 70% of the time visiting customers throughout the US.

Note: The travel required for this position is demanding and subjects the individual to work during odd hours of the day or night making it necessary to be disciplined in personal time management.  The candidate must be capable of planning in advance to ensure clientele is committed to appointments and understand how to effectively move around a given territory to maximize effectiveness when making sales calls.

The ideal candidate is preferably located in Tucson or Phoenix Arizona. Secondarily, candidate may be located in any of the following locations: Southern California, Texas, Nevada, Florida, Georgia.
