-During the past several years, Sigma scientists and engineers have developed, at near molecular level, several innovative coating processes and surface treatment systems for coating paper, fabrics, plastic films metal foils and articles with complex shape geometries. These systems feature multiple functionality solutions for surface treatment and the application of metal, metal oxides and polymer coatings. -Coatings and surface treatments can be applied at speeds higher than 1000 feet per minute. Single layer coatings can be precisely engineered and applied in thickness from 0.1 micron to a few microns. Multilayer coatings can also be applied and provide several thousand precisely controlled alternating layers of metals or polymers. |
