Corona Testing

Sigma has developed a leading edge corona test system that enables us to accurately detect and measure corona inception voltage (CIV) and corona extinction voltage. We can also analyze this data utilizing both electrical and acoustical sensing techniques. Additional information on capacitor performance can be obtained by analyzing the energy level and frequency of the corona pulses at different operating conditions.
